The old look

The old look was fine and could have probably stayed that way for another twenty years and no one would have complained but, let’s face it, they made a big deal of the product and it had a bite sized effect on the image they projected. The new logo is a great evolution of the previous logo. The icon still fits in with the rest of the LucasArts gang but has great flexibility and is no longer a circle holding shape. The wordmark is a clean geometric sans — no problem — but paired with the new condensed sans, gives it a slight whack you in the back. The colors are a little more in your face than the logo though, they feel overly colorful. I know they are supposed to look vaguely futuristic but the way they glow in the photo with the box… it’s too much of the same. Still, it’s nice enough.
