From a design perspective, communicating what the film is about is essential, Susan says. “It’s easy to get lost when we explain a film’s themes through mere words. When communicated clearly, the themes can reach audiences with a quick cut to their heart”.

“When materials from other artists or studios are consulted to explain a film, a holistic approach is expected,” she continues. “An appreciation of the surface and accumulated weight of critical and contextual references is therefore essential to impart a cinematic impression.”
